Take Us to the Ocean

Though there is only one official municipal beach in the city of Delray, there are three distinct sections that comprise the nearly 3 mile coastline. Each section has its own unique vibe, so take note to ensure you maximize your day at the beach!

You can’t miss the main portion of our beautiful beach, located at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. Marked by a grand pavilion entrance, this section of the beach offers the most extensive access to beach-goers. Just beyond the pavilion, discover a pathway to paradise. You’ll notice this section of the beach is flagged by our iconic lifeguard towers and comes with beach rescue supervision between the hours of 9am and 6:30pm daily. Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available through Oceanside Beach Services, making this the perfect place for families to relax and enjoy without the hassle of lugging too much gear. Within walking distance of this entrance, you’ll have access to a number of shops and quick service restaurants to ensure your day at the beach is well prepared for. So gather your sunscreen and sandwiches and hit the sand!

On either end of the beach, you’ll find the other two distinct sections. If you’re the adventurous type and looking for a bit more action, our second spot, the ‘South End’ is the place for you. Perfectly suited for the active lifestyle, this section has it all. Whether you’re looking to kayak, windsurf or sail, Delray Beach Water Sports, located directly on the sand of the ‘South End‘, has the equipment needed to make it happen. If adventure is what you’re looking for, you won’t want to miss this section!

Our third and final spot, affectionately dubbed the ‘North End’, is ideal for anyone in need of vitamin sea. Set your alarm for sunrise, grab a blanket and go. This more serene section, marked by the iconic catamarans, is ideal for sunrise snapshots, and provides the perfect backdrop for morning yoga or paddle-boarding. So pack your cooler and leave your worries behind!
